The seminar is designed with the average person in mind, who may or may not have any knowledge of hardware, audio or sound (or even if there is a difference). The two main goals are to help those with greater knowledge understand the "how" of why things work, and for those who have little or no knowledge, their understanding will be built up from the very basics to a level of comfort with the more complex. While it may be called a seminar, the learning will come not just through sharing of knowledge, but through demonstrations and hands-on understanding. Here's a list of people who would benefit from the seminar: vocalists, instrumentalists, listeners of digital music, watchers of movies at home, sound guys, event organizers, and the list can go on-- basically if one uses sound equipment or spends money on retail audio products, this knowledge is useful, can be learned, and can save time or money.

The first weekend is concentrated on the more basic fundamentals of sound, how it works, and how it made its way into a usable form- a signal. The second weekend is focused on how we interact with signals through electronics, and how the knowledge can be applied when using or designing hardware or systems. The second weekend and especially the final day will change slightly based on the responses and needs of the attendees-- in other words: your feedback from the first week will focus the second week to be as beneficial as possible.
