Prayer Ministry

"Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24).

prayer 1

Why pray? We do not pray in order to somehow talk God into giving us gifts.  God constantly blesses us with the forgiveness of sins, daily bread, and strength for the day.  God does this out of His divine fatherly goodness and mercy.  Even if we were not to pray, God would still give us these things.

The trouble is that we don't always realize God's blessings.  In fact, we seldom do.  We either take daily bread and forgiveness for granted or we worry ourselves sick about them.  Jesus teaches us to pray for these gifts in order to help us see who gives them to us, namely, God our Father.  So pray with confidence.  God loves to hear you pray.
